Recruited by the company and applied for a Sr. Designer job. Interview process was straight forward. First was a panel of 3 people with the design team going over my portfolio and past experiences. Then a follow-up with a recruiter. This felt a bit backwards from other companies. After that I was told that I'm the top candidate and strung along for 3 weeks while they sorted things out on their end. Ended up not getting an offer because they decided to stop hiring remote and felt I was overqualified for the role.
