It was a long hiring process. I had started discussing the potential jobs with someone 3 or so months prior to actually getting the offer. From the time I applied to the offer it was approximately 2 months time. I had 3 interviews, which is likely less than normal as most of the other contacts already had worked with me. I've heard 80% of jobs are found by networking contacts and this was the case for me. I'm surprised at how long the hiring process takes. At another company, it took 6 weeks before they contacted me for an interview.

Asked to described exactly how I would come in and change the communication structure and how I would improve the flow of projects. How I would handle a large volume of projects as well. Because I had worked in the area I had some good examples, but if I hadn't worked in the environment or in similar roles before, I think this could have been hard to describe. I would have had to use outside examples.
I thought the interviewers asked a lot of very good questions. It really seemed like they were trying to get information that would help them improve their roles in a way.
