Four rounds 1. Aptitude Tests: one numerical and one behavioral Numerical was quite simple and straightforward, only difficulty is time as each question is timed. Behavioral mostly just situational questions (ex: MCQ on how you would deal with your co-worker making a mistake costing client's money) 2. Video Interview: unlike many banks, UBS doesn't use HireVue, instead they use their own system. HireVue usually gives you 2 changes in answering a question but for UBS' system is one shot only. A lot of questions, total of 10 - half behavioral and half more technical (market analysis, market trends, stocks you invested in etc. Nothing too difficult) 3. Superday: interviews with various managers/directors in your division (I interviewed with 3 heads of various teams in AM). They went through my CV line by line to understand your experience. Situational/behavioral questions, and some technical questions (nothing too fancy since it isn't a IB/markets interview, but still need to have some knowledge related to your division). Need to know the bank well as they would ask a lot of questions regarding UBS itself. 4. Final interview with MD: interviewed with the MD of China Equities. 30 minute chat and probably the most technical. Asked a lot about our view of certain markets in particular emerging markets, some questions about ESG/SI, and also stocks that you invested in (why those stocks, current performance, future outlook) Overall not a difficult procedure, definitely more relaxed (less technical) than many competitors. HR was very thorough in communication throughout. From submitting application till getting an offer was only about 2 months (submitted beginning of September and immediately aptitude tests, 1 month later video interview, 1 week later Superday, informed about final interview the evening of Superday, and received offer within the same week). UBS really cares a lot about fit - whether your personality is a good fit for the bank and its employees. Need to know the bank well to better explain why you want to be there.
