      Entrevista para Strategic Partnerships

      Candidatura

Candidatei-me por indicação de um funcionário. O processo levou mais de 1 semana. Fui entrevistado pela Uber (Gurgaon, Haryana) em out. de 2016

      Entrevista

My first round was on phone with HR who discussed my profile in detail (which was a bit unrelated to the role) and how I can contribute to the role given my background. I was invited to the company office in Gurgaon to interview with a senior member of India team which was quite an unpleasant experience and made me question the culture of Uber - whether it is a great place to work as it claims? My interview went on for about 15 min in which we broadly discussed my background for 90% of the time and I was asked nothing about my plans for the role (which was told is how UBER evaluates given its 'entrepreneurial' culture) & how I'll go about implementing it or whether I am a fit for the role or the company. Further, the interviewer was completely unprepared. She had not seen my profile before - and did not even have my resume! This person was busy searching for my resume on laptop while I was going on with my introduction. Profile is something which is already available and discussed in the first round, then why call someone all they way if the rejection is on profile? Uber should understand that people who come to interview are also investing their time and energy. I strongly believe that 15 min is not enough time to judge a person's abilities. The interviewee SHOULD get undivided attention for allotted time and should be evaluated comprehensively. In a face-to-face second round interview, interviewee deserves better attention and evaluation. Furthermore, in my case, the interviewer was rude and disrespectful and almost seemed mad at be for not having the relevant background! I have never experienced an abruptly ending interview. The interviewer literally escorted me out even after I told that I have a friend in office who I wish to meet before going. Humiliating. This made me question UBER's culture and whether I am ready to work with people who are high headed, presumptuous and unpleasant? Never going to consider UBER again.
