Entrevista
Interview process included multiple steps, the first stage was a home-assignment programming task, which was simple and boring, the ordinary task that average companies are usually sending to candidates. The next stage was HR interview that surprisingly have been led by Head of Engineering. Technical stage have also been led only by Head of Engineering, it included review of home-assignment task, system design interview, discussion about experience and salary negotiations. The last stage was the most frustrating step, at some point realized that we are not at Cultural Fit interview, but in the middle of Product Manager interview with questions: “What’s your favorite product? What do you like in it? How would you improve it?”. At this meeting I had an impression that data engineer and senior product manager who were present, are not passionate about working at UpLearn, also they haven’t clearly described how usually they cooperate with software engineers.

Notably, all communications, from the initial assignment to the final offer, were remarkably swift, making it a seamless experience overall.
