I floated out my application to various Walmarts in the area. Walked in, and talked with the Store Manager about open positions. I originally declined a role because it didn't align with my interests. However, a role opened up before I left the store and I was immediately called by the People Lead. I sat down with her, discussed my management background and leadership style, and was offered the position an hour after the interview.

In person with hiring manager and store manager. About 10 minutes of fairly easy questions: where have you worked, have you supervised, have you dealt with angry customers, do you understand the hours, that sort of thing.
