Entrevista
A recruiter contacted me on Wednesday asked me to go through my previous experience and asked general questions like "Why twitter?" "What do you know about Twitter?" etc. Nothing too difficult. Asked for my availability for an interview with the hiring manager which got scheduled for an interview with the hiring manager two business days later. Let me just say that the recruiter I worked with was very nice.
The phone interview with the hiring manager was pretty routine as well. We went through my resume and past experience again. She asked me some really simple behavioral questions like "How do you keep yourself organized?" etc. Again nothing too difficult.
I was then contacted over the weekend for an onsite interview the next week. The whole process went pretty quickly. I went into the onsite interview and interviewed with several different people from the recruiting team. Most of them were nice, but there was one lady that was very cold and stand-offish to me.
Honestly, I liked the recruiter I worked with, and I liked that the whole process went fairly quickly. However, my experience with Twitter wasn't great. One of the interviewers was not very warm and welcoming like others were and the reason they cited for not offering me the position was something they knew from the beginning of the process yet they wasted my time and led me to believe I was a good fit for what they were looking for.

Situational questions
Not great. Lasted 5 minutes and the girl interviewing me was not interested in the conversation at all. She was also pretty rude. I really prepared for the call and was excited about the opportunity.

Applied online and received an email from a recruiter to set up a phone interview that same week. Phone call went well, very general questions about yourself and why Twitter. The recruiter was very pleasant and let me know that the latest I would hear back with the next steps would be a couple days. Two weeks go by and I hear nothing. During this time I emailed several times politely asking for an update on my candidacy. Silence. Finally another week goes by just for them to FINALLY respond after several un-answered emails saying that someone else who was farther along in the interview process was job offered two weeks prior.
I understand the decision and that's fine. My problem is that had I not emailed them multiple times I would've never heard back with a decision or closure. They knew the outcome that the position was filled only a few days after my initial interview and didn't feel the need to share that information with eager, pending candidates.
Just felt that it was incredibly unprofessional and did not represent the company and their interview process well AT ALL.
