      Candidatura

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 5 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela X (San Francisco, CA) em ago. de 2017

      Entrevista

Overall, my experience was extremely disjointed. The recruiter for this position was based on the East Coast, meanwhile, the position was located in SF. The interview process consisted of a brief phone interview with the recruiter. The recruiter missed our first scheduled appointment and rescheduled for the following day. No real apology for rescheduling either. The phone call was probably 5 minutes long which led to a phone interview with the hiring manager two weeks later. The hiring manager was condescending on the phone. She said, "I would like to bring you onsite, you seem to have the basic skill set, but we aren't looking for people to do the bare minimum." I found her statement to be rather bizzare to close out the phone converation. It doesn't exactly give you the warm and fuzzies. My onsite interview consisted on 6, 30-minute sessions. Two of the interviews were video conferences, and the remaining were in person one-on-one sessions. The hiring manager was my first interview, and at the close of our interview, I had a pretty strong feeling I was not going to be offered the position. The hiring manager mentioned, "I have already filled most of my headcount and we are willing to wait a year if it takes that long to find the right fit." That statement was in response to my question, "Where are you in the overall recruitment process as I am reaching final rounds with several other companies I am interviewing with." I proceeded to complete the remaining 30 minute sessions which were all pleasent. Nothing out of the ordinary was asked. The sales person who sat in on one of the interviews was a bit bizzare. I didn't connect with him on any level. In closing, I ultimately did not make the final round. After following up with the recruiter, I received a canned e-mail stating they selected a candidate with a stronger connection to internal stakeholders. Overall I was disappointed with the process and found that the hiring manager was rude. I sent a thank-you letter to everyone that I interviewed with and only two of the 6 people responded. No, the hiring manager was not one of the two employees who took the time to respond. My experience may have been different had I been in more capable hands from a recruitment standpoint and had a hiring manager who exhibited common decency. I was provided no guidence in preparation for my onsite visit, nor was I ever given any follow-up. I am extremely dissapointed by the process as I was excited at the opportunity to join an organization such as Twitter.

      Pergunta 1

If you were a brand, what brand would it be and why? If you were stuck in an elevator for 30 seconds and had to explain to someone in the elevator what our business was, how would you describe it? Name an example where you failed, and what did you learn from it? Name one of your biggest accomplishments, how did you achieve it, and what would you do differently if any? What are some examples of successful cross-functional interactions within your existing role? Name your strongest asset and your biggest weakness. How would these impact your role at Twitter? Why Twitter?
