The initial call with the recruiter was great, she was very friendly and easy to talk to. We went line by line about the job posted and my experience. I was asked about Kubernetes once in which I explained I didn't have experience there but appeared to be a none issue. This was for a job written as a Program Manager for Federal Contract. I dont know about you but PMs in the Federal world are NOT doing the technical work. It was very much an administrative PM position based on how it was written in the responsiblities. The second interview was 45 min with the Director of that team. He was very very very rude. He continuously overtalked me and cut me off. He talked down to me. You are interviewing someone for this job and this is how you talk to them? I have 23 years experience in this field and am at the Senior level. This individual was looking for a completely different thing than what was written in the job posting. They wanted someone who was very very senior level expert in Kubernetes and doing the technical work for it. That's not a PM for a Fedramp contract. He didn't want to talk about my experience at all or the job as written. I cut the interview short myself as this is not a place I would want to work.

Extremely friendly, insightful conversation where we were sharing good practices, our learnings and experiences. Very encouraging attitude of interviewers. More of conversation than interrogation or interviewing. Great panelist ranging from peers to key stakeholders.
