Tell me about a time you managed a low performer.
Digging deeper on my existing work, projects I did in the past. What challenges I faced in those? and how did I overcome those challenges?
Technical rounds were fairly simple. Both are 45 minutes long. The coding interview involves questions about setting up a multiple queue system. The system design interview wasn't anything unusual. ID.me is interested in people that understand application security, so encryption at rest, in transit, etc.
Tell me about a time when....
In the first telephonic screening round, I was asked to explain my background in brief. Then, I was told: Assume there are 100 million text files/novels. I need to design a text suggestion tool, based on the 100million novels, while the user is typing search text in Amazon website.
How would you design a system to store arbitrarily large files? (e.g. 50 TB files)
Already mentioned above. Few things like demonstrate innovation, risk taking in your previous projects. Design almost real time ranking system for Amazon.
