Operation Venetic, spearheaded by the National Crime Agency (NCA) in collaboration with international partners, aimed to dismantle EncroChat, a prominent player in encrypted communication. This covert mission targeted the extensive network of this platform, known for its prominence in providing encrypted communication services. A crucial role was played by AI and machine learning in the success of the operation. With increasingly sophisticated crimes, predictive and diagnostic analytics will become more crucial to solving future crimes.
"When I joined the company 7 years ago, there were less than 40 people in our office in Sofia, Bulgaria. In my first position, I was a Junior Automation QA for the Cyber division. The company then made some strategic changes and initiated a new product (which later became NEXYTE), and I joined there as a QA. Four years later, another new opportunity came up: becoming a DevOps Engineer in another product house. The challenge appealed to me, so I decided to take it on. Then, after 1.5 years, I was offered a new role that I really wanted: to be a Product Owner. Although transitioning to a new role can be challenging, my experience was smooth. A year after becoming a Product Owner, I was promoted to lead the QA team for our decision intelligence platform, NEXYTE. My career path taught me that things are dynamic and constantly changing, especially in a big, global company. You'll have lots of opportunities coming your way. This being said, I have some advice for my younger self: First, choose your battles carefully! Second, you will need to articulate your professional aspirations to design your own career path."
