ENGIE has reached a major milestone in its transition utility strategy with the signing of an agreement to acquire 100% of UK Power Networks (UKPN). This landmark transaction will make the UK ENGIE’s second-largest country of activity. By signing this agreement to acquire a best-in-class asset, ENGIE accelerates its growth in regulated electricity networks. UKPN delivers 71 TWh annually through a 192,000 km network and holds three strategic licenses covering London, the South East, and the East of England. The completion of this agreement will allow ENGIE to leverage UKPN’s operational excellence and its 6,500 employees to drive large-scale electrification.
