Dear Commission, we'll take you at your word 🤝 With the Belgian presidency in place, it was high time to give the industry the attention it deserves. Seventy-three #industry leaders presented ‘The Antwerp Declaration for a European Industrial Deal’ to the Belgian Prime Minister, Alexander De Croo, and the Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen. The declaration underlines the commitment of industry to Europe and its transformation as well as outlines the urgent industry needs to make Europe competitive, resilient, and sustainable in the face of current economic conditions. Forerunners from basic industry sectors, including #refractories, representing 7.8 million workers in Europe, joined forces with European trade unions and European leaders to address pressing concerns regarding the industrial landscape in the region. #RHIMagnesita was amongst those represented by our associations in Brussels: Euromines and Cerame-Unie. Our CEO Stefan Borgas had the privilege of meeting with Prime Minister Kaja Kallas of Estonia at the Austrian Federation of Industries. We extend our gratitude for giving us the opportunity to explore Estonia’s business landscape and investment prospects.
