¡Fiesta in the Break Room! We added some extra spice to Hispanic Heritage Month across the U.S. and Mexico with cook-offs in our offices. In today’s interconnected world, working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures is the norm. By better understanding various cultures, histories, and values, we can deepen our connections with colleagues and enrich our work experience. With 20 members from four countries and a presence in six offices, our ¡HoLA! Employee Resource Group promoted cultural exchange in everyone’s favorite way—through food! Local office Employee Clubs organized their own respective cook-offs, with each winner receiving a $25 gift card. But the real treat? The piñata filled with Mexican candy. #HispanicHeritageMonth #chooseSSOE

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming our friends from TARTA to our world headquarters in Toledo. They joined Jennifer Breault, Senior Architect and Chair of SSOE’s Sustainable Design Strategy Group, in leading a lunch and learn session for employees and launching the SSOE + TARTA Challenge. During our lunch hour, we explored the modern amenities TARTA offers to Toledo-area public transit users. Whether for sustainability, cost savings, leisure, or various other reasons, TARTA’s services cater to a wide range of needs. Our CEO Vince DiPofi, who commuted to the office via TARTA today and joined us for lunch, continues to be impressed by the transit authority’s upgrades and user-friendly experience. As we wrapped up, Jen announced an exciting challenge from our Sustainable Design Strategy Group encouraging employees to download TARTA’s intuitive apps and use public transit at least four times in October. This friendly competition aims to inspire similar initiatives across our network of offices. #chooseSSOE

Fast-tracking EV innovation and building a pipeline of talent for the future: Our recent collaboration with Hyundai Motor Group North America, the Technical College System of Georgia, Georgia Quick Start, and other stakeholders reached a major milestone last week with the topping out of the state-of-the-art Hyundai Mobility Training Center of Georgia. This 90,000 SF facility, located next to Hyundai’s first dedicated EV mass-production “metaplant” in the U.S., will feature cutting-edge technologies along with classrooms, labs, and manufacturing spaces to support Hyundai’s ambitious vision for the future and benefit the citizens of Georgia. Set to be completed in late 2025, this facility represents the largest economic investment in Georgia, solidifying the state’s leadership in EV manufacturing and promoting Hyundai’s vision of becoming a global smart mobility solution provider. #SSOEsoutheast #WorkforceDevelopment
