Position: Middle School Math Lead Teacher

POSITION SUMMARY
TASIS Dorado seeks a dedicated and dynamic Middle School Math Lead Teacher who is passionate about inspiring a love for mathematics and developing students’ analytical and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will design engaging, student-centered learning experiences that foster critical thinking, conceptual understanding, and real-world application of mathematical principles.
As an integral member of the Middle School faculty, the Math Teacher will collaborate closely with colleagues across grade levels and departments to advance TASIS Dorado’s mission of academic excellence, character development, and lifelong learning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching & Learning
- Deliver high-quality instruction in Middle School Mathematics, including courses such as Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry.
- Design and implement engaging, inquiry-based lessons that promote conceptual understanding and skill mastery.
- Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction, provide timely feedback, and measure student progress.
- Integrate technology and real-world applications to deepen mathematical understanding.
- Create a classroom environment that supports curiosity, collaboration, and intellectual rigor.
Student Support & Engagement
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom that values diverse perspectives and learning styles.
- Serve as an advisor, mentor, or coach, supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Encourage students to take ownership of their learning and develop resilience through problem-solving and perseverance.
Collaboration & Professional Growth
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure vertical and horizontal curriculum alignment.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary projects and department initiatives that enhance the school’s academic program.
- Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and curriculum planning efforts.
- Demonstrate openness to feedback and commitment to continuous improvement.
Community & School Life
- Maintain positive, professional relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in extracurricular and co-curricular activities, such as clubs, athletics, and school events.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned, including recess, lunch, or substitute coverage.
- Model a healthy, balanced lifestyle and serve as a role model for students.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics Education or Mathematics from an accredited institution (Master’s preferred).
- Valid teaching certification in Mathematics or related area.
- Minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience, preferably at the middle school level.
- Demonstrated experience with differentiated instruction and standards-based curriculum.
- Strong command of English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in educational technology and digital learning tools.
- Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity when working with diverse student populations.
- Bilingual proficiency (English & Spanish) preferred.
- Must comply with all employment requirements, including Law 300, Health Certificate, and other necessary documentation.

Timeline & Selection Process
Start Date: This is a full-time position scheduled to begin in July 2026.
Interview Phases (Starting in May): Shortlisted candidates will participate individually in a multi-stage evaluation, held on separate dates, which will include:
- Initial Screening
- Panel Interview
- Work Demonstration (Demo Class)
Pay: From $30,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
