RWS Brazil is looking for Translation Intern.

This paid internship is designed to provide an introduction to professional translation and allow translators to grow key linguistic and commercial skills as they begin their careers in the localization industry. We offer training modules in translation, review and machine translation post-editing, as well as instruction in the use of some of RWS’s key technology solutions and valuable guidance on achieving a successful career in translation.

Requirements:

• Enrollment in a translation-related field of study
• First experience with translation Life Science or Finance content is preferred.
• Excellent Brazilian Portuguese language skills
• Excellent English language skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good written/verbal communication
• Flexibility and ability to work to a deadline
• Ambition and a desire to learn and progress

Responsibilities:

• Translates/post-edits a variety of text types from the relevant source languages into
  various flavours of English
• Completes source/target review of translations from a variety of text types
• Completes any other linguistic tasks as requested (e.g. LSO; target-only review;
  conversion)
• Consistently works to defined productivity metrics for all linguistic tasks
• Achieves the specified productivity & utilization targets
• Adheres to the appropriate quality standards for all tasks
