What we need you to bring.
Horizon is seeking an open, enthusiastic, experienced Senior Safety & Reliability Engineer. Your role involves ensuring the safety, dependability, and regulatory compliance of next-generation electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. Working at the intersection of advanced technology and aviation standards, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and validating systems that meet the highest safety and reliability expectations in a novel aerospace environment.
As we’re a small team, there is significant scope for you to advance your career and learn about adjacent disciplines.
Your Day-to-Day:
We are looking for people that will have the following qualifications and experiences: Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in a Safety Engineering role from aerospace or automotive, having worked across all phases of the lifecycle. Ideally you would have hands on experience with systems engineering, and you will have familiarity with eVTOL Certification regulations from the TCCA, FAA, and EASA.

Location.
We are located just outside of Lindsay, in the Kawartha Lakes area of Ontario, Canada. Our team is onsite at our facility, as a group, a minimum of two days per week. We expect the same from you, and we are mindful of what a realistic commute would be to keep you safe and at your best. We offer relocation allowances in appropriate cases.
We have a growing team in the Ottawa area, who are onsite in Lindsay less often. If you are in the region, please do apply and we can discuss options with you.
