Role Overview
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, and control of all operational execution at a|CREATE. This role sits at the centre of the business, ensuring that all jobs are properly scheduled, resourced, prepared, and executed — with clear visibility across teams, assets, and timelines. The Operations Coordinator translates the commercial pipeline into an executable plan, aligning workshop output, warehouse readiness, fleet allocation, and team deployment to deliver consistently and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Coordination
- Translate confirmed jobs into a clear, executable operational plan
- Coordinate inputs across creative, workshop, floral, augmented, and logistics teams
- Ensure all dependencies are identified and addressed ahead of execution
- Continuously adjust plans in response to changes, priorities, and constraints
Workshop & Customisation Management
- Manage the workshop team responsible for: furniture customisation (e.g. painting) & repairs and refurbishment
- Prioritise workshop activities in line with the operational schedule
- Ensure all customised and repaired items are completed on time and to standard
- Coordinate the flow of items between warehouse and workshop
- Maintain visibility of workshop capacity, workload, and constraints
Logistics & Execution Planning
- Plan and coordinate all deliveries, installations, breakdowns, and collections
- Ensure efficient use of vehicles, teams, and time
- Resolve scheduling conflicts and resource constraints proactively
Team Coordination & Communication
- Lead daily operational briefings
- Facilitate weekly planning and alignment sessions
- Ensure teams are aligned on schedules, expectations, and changes
- Act as the central communication point for operational execution
Operational Control & Issue Resolution
- Monitor execution progress across all active jobs
- Identify risks and issues early and respond proactively
- Escalate critical issues where required
- Ensure continuity and stability in day-to-day operations
Administrative & Operational Systems
- Maintain accurate operational records and documentation
- Ensure job tracking, scheduling, and reporting are up to date
- Capture post-event feedback, damages, and deviations
- Continuously improve operational processes and systems

Experience & Requirements
- 2–4 years’ experience in operations, logistics, or project coordination
- Experience in events, production, or a similar environment advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license and own transport

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: R20 000,00 - R24 000,00 per month
