The interview process is tough with situations and a few think through cases. I interviewed with 2 on phone for 45 minutes each and 6 more face-face. The called after 4 days saying I was a great fit for amazon but the job I interviewed for was a level lower to my skills and experience. My resume will be submitted to other groups and it will more basic conversations with new hiring managers since I am a great fit for amazon. The next hiring manager called and interviewed me for another 45 minutes though the recruiter had mentioned this will be more of an info call on the role to see if you like the role or not. I did not hear from the recruiter for 12 days and she would not reply to my emails. When I contacted another senior Recruiting manager and told her about my situation did the recruiter get in touch again. She apologized and mentioned that she was looking to see me at the campus and that she will get back with details. Next day, she set my interview with a third hiring Manager. This manager did not find me fit for his role so he proposed I interview for a lower level role of Manager. I declined. I don't understand the logic that I was considered more experienced for a Sr. Manager role and how I can be a fit now for a Manager role.
The recruiters are inexperienced and do not know how to handle high caliber MBAs from top schools.
