I was contacted by an Amazon recruiter on LinkedIn the first week of November. They asked for an updated resume to pass along. I heard back within a few days that I needed to take an online assessment test and fill out some forms online. You pick a few profiles you want to be tested in like Linux, networking, deployment, big data etc. It's a mutiple choice test with some essay questions at the end to discuss your work and understanding. The next step was a phone interview. The first interview wasn't able to get secured for the time I needed so there was a little delay. The interview was 100% technical. The male on the phone was from the same team. He was very friendly. He only asked 4 questions but we did a deep dive into troubleshooting so it took the whole hour. Within a day or two I was told I did well and would be invited for an on-site. We scheduled it for mid December. I met with 4 people for an hour each. I signed an NDA on the day but they pretty much give you all the details you need to be able to succeed. You need to come in with fundamental knowledge of your skillset and be able to dive into specifics and troubleshooting steps. Everyone was nice and respectful. The questions are relevant for the role. I started communication with Amazon on the first week of November and got the offer the last week of December. The offer is given over the phone with an Amazon recruiter and sent later via email.

It was a 4 round loop. The first two rounds focused on networking and troubleshooting, plus questions about your domain. The last two rounds are just answering questions using leadership principles in STAR format.
