I had three interviews scheduled for 2 days (2 on day 1, the other on day 2). On day 1, I got a call that my 2nd interview has been cancelled. It is totally fine. I understand that interview schedules can change, and it was nice of the recruiter to let me know. My first interview went well, and the interviewer was good and professional. On day 2, I had taken a leave from my office just for this interview and the interviewer didn't even bother to let me know that he won't be able to attend. I joined Chime and wasted 1 hour. This is not at all acceptable from Amazon, where they keep talking big things. You should learn to respect others' time. Since day 2 was again cancelled, they arranged for another interview for day 3. The second interviewer on day 3 was kind of weird. One thing which he said made me silently laugh is this: I currently work as a data analyst. So, I had asked him at the end that what is the difference between the roles of a data analyst and a BIE (Amazon's BI space includes both of these roles on their official website, along with 5-6 other roles). He directly told me that, "I don't know what a data analyst does, but a BIE does this and that... and is a jack of all trades". Really? A BIE at Amazon doesn't know what a data analyst does!! This is really shameful, and the way he told it was shocking. It felt like he was trying to insult me while upholding his own position. I am not sure why an interviewer would do that. I might not get selected, and my interview might not be upto the mark according to the interviewer- it happens and is part of the process. But why would an interviewer try to show off to an interviewee while making absurd statements? I felt like the interview was scheduled to reject me.

The interview process was smooth and conversational. The interviewer was calmly asking questions about my previous work experiences and listened patiently. He even gave me ample time to frame my answers.
