Entrevista
Applied online via an Amazon referral link. Received an email from a recruiter 3 weeks later to set up a phone screening. Great call with recruiter, pushed through to next round, which was a 60 minute phone call. Interviewer asked the typical behavioral questions but very odd follow ups that had nothing to do with the question or Amazon's leadership principles. Felt confident in my answers and fielded each question very well, regardless. 2 days later I received an email that I was no longer in the running for the role. They have been hiring for this role (and roles similar on this team) for months with little hiring success. An old coworker was up for a similar role and had the exact same experience. It's clear there is a problem with the interviewers/ interview process and not necessarily the candidates. It's a shame this team will be missing out on great talent as a result.
