Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). O processo levou 4 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Amazon (Herndon, VA) em jul. de 2021
Entrevista
The interview process was a huge disappointment:
1. I got contacted by a sourcer.
2. He gave me a Windows support position of level I at Herndon VA and screened for basic questions. He is not a technical person so do not waste your time explaining things in details. Initially I said no interest to Windows, he told me that I will be able to switch team later. Finally gave me OA and ask to complete in 3 days.
3. OA passed. MCQ easy level of handling customers as well basic Linux/network questions.
4. Phone interview by a random engineer at a different location. Got the bonus question (related to AWS).
5. Passed and was told to interview for a level 2 position.
6. 3 weeks later for the final VO.
First round: Hiring manager of the group, all BQ (4-5).
Second round: An engineer from the same group asking basic network questions as well as 1 BQ.
Third round (shadow): A hiring manager from another group, all BQ (3-4).
Last round (shadow): Technical questions from an engineer of the same group, with more difficulty related to Powershell as well as troubleshooting.
7. After waiting for 8 days, got a phone call said no offer and no cooling off period. I was very disappointed because obviously I met the bar of level 1 (even level 2), still no downgrade but a simple denial.
------
Diversity: NONE. All interviewers I've mentioned above are Indian. There were 6 people involved in the VO, only 1 shadow was a white guy.
My past colleague (non Indian) who is currently working there told me that 75% of the entire support team is Indian people. They could fail you even if you do everything well during the interview (simply tell you "not match", what a panacea).
Hire2fire: Imagine any non Indian people getting in the team and later put on devlist because of the ethnic. Office politics will be terrible to you if you are the "minority".
Transparency: Never saw my application got correct updates in the job portal. So if you got contacted by the sourcer instead of applying by yourself, you won't get any updates other than writing emails. BTW the job portal is trash, my application has been "no longer under consideration" since Day 1.
Salary: Pay promise is Okay. But do not expect how much a SWE can get (most of people applying for CSE are not good SWE candidates including me).
------
PS:
1. This is not a position for IT Support, do not waste your time if you are more familiar with hardware setup. They won't ask you anything like how to configure a Cisco router. This is another position in the job portal.
2. Interviewer of different ethnic will not give you any hint even if the question is unclear/generic. Instead, your profile will be added "bad performance" because you are stuck there as the question has many answers of different perspective.
3. BQ questions are not tricky, prepare to dive deep in your stories. Do not try to fabricate anything, you will only get yourself embarrassed.
Perguntas de entrevista [1]
Pergunta 1
Sourcer: What is this and what is that. No BQ.
Phone Interview: Most of the questions can be found on Microsoft Docs, no AWS related questions.
Final. If you have no idea about the answers when hearing the questions, you should withdraw your application because these questions are too easy even if you have 1 year experience.
Final VO:
I cannot disclose these because of NDA. It depends on your position and varies a lot. BQ questions are very general and they appear in the first page of the Google search.

How to troubleshoot this/that;
What tools are used to do this/that;
What are the steps to add/remove features in the system;
What is the port of this/that;
TCP/IP;
OSPF;

I'm not trying to throw a contempt because I did not get an offer. You will realize that what you will do in this position is mostly customer service + google/stackoverflow + passing tickets to the dev team.

It was a 4 round loop. The first two rounds focused on networking and troubleshooting, plus questions about your domain. The last two rounds are just answering questions using leadership principles in STAR format.

Depends on the domain of the role. I had Networking domain, so most questions were on Linux and troubleshooting.
It was difficult , questions about os and computer network and one easy coding question , the coding question was prime number question, also asked behavioural questions which are to be answered in STAR format
