The entire process can be summarized as interviewing with a bunch of hostile jerks. The process was very cold with no recruiter outreach or feedback whatsoever. It was a complete waste of my time. To begin with, a recruiter will reach out via email. They won't even schedule a call to talk to you to describe the position and the company. Instead, they start off by scheduling an interview with the hiring manager and his VP. So you are thrust into the process without knowing anything about the company or the position beyond the online job description. The hiring managers however expect you to have done the research and have some knowledge of the position. Otherwise, their expectation is you wouldn't be interviewing with them. Anyway, that was the least of their problems. Somewhere in the entire process was a hostile jerk from their SRE team. His whole MO was to ask a STAR question and critique every decision I had taken regardless of the outcome. Even if the outcome was stellar, his MO was to ask a hostile question in an area I was not responsible for. He finally capped it off by asking me a list of things I was working on. When one of the things I said I was working on getting our products to scale, he started asking why the product wouldn't scale as if it was my fault. When I explained researching it was part of the problem, he wouldn't take that for an answer and started critiquing everything. All in all, he came off as someone that was out to get me. I didn't feel like I would want to work with this guy even if I had the job. Note to Coupa: I don't need your position. But if you want to hire and retain the best people, you need to put your best people in front of the candidates.

4 interviews in a few days topping off with the vp of developtment. It went very well and was able to get the job. I met with the qa manager, the dev manager, one of the dev, and the vp.

After applying through there website, It directly started with an online coding test. HR has not reached out to me telling more details about the team and the position. It was a surprise for me, as I have not being asked for convenient timings about the test. Also the time lapse for the link was also very less, 3-4 days. Online Test 1: It was a medium level questions, mostly about the sorting, searching, binary search algorithms. If you have practiced leetcode , you shall be to solve it. Time duration is apt for the questions. Round 1: Round 1 was with the Director. This round is mostly about knowing your current skills, work experience, and what you are looking for, why you left previous companies etc. He mostly analyses you and see in which team/role you would be rightly fit. He talks about the Coupa, team, Tech Stack etc. It was a good discussion for me. Round 2: There were two interviewers in the panel, both seem rushing towards number of questions to be asked. They are not patient enough to listen to my solutions and understand them, instead they want to hear the solution that they know. Design round is meant for the discussion and the goal is to come up with a better solution, its not a debate where interviewee directly goes to the solution that you know. I felt the tone of the interviewers were very arrogant. They were always saying like "Do that..., Do this..., Stop that...,", instead they should have better worded with "Can you do that...., Can you do this...., ". I felt like they want to show some attitude. I want to let the interviewers know that, Interview process is a two way selection process. Its both the interviewers select the interviewees, and the interviewees select the company based on the attitude of the interviewers.

Interviews were organised by HR and people were friendly. Altogether there were 3 rounds for this interview process, which included interviews with the team lead, senior manager and senior director.Everyone seemed happy at the end including me. In every round of interview, i was asked about my salary expectations which i mentioned to each one of the interviewer. After clearing all 3 rounds of the interview, HR again asked me about the salary expectations which i already mentioned in the email in the initial process of the interview where they asked me to provide few details which also included my salary expectations. I strongly recommend these people not to waste others time if you dont have any clarity on your budget and stop arranging further rounds of interview if you feel you cant fulfil CTC expectations. Some people might really want to work with you but such unprofessional attitude leads nobody nowhere. They already know your CTC expectations but after 3-4 rounds only they realise that they cant fulfil your expectations. Complete waste of time! I usually never write a review on any company but this experience was a big disappointment.

Standard sales interview process. Zoom call with hiring manager for 30 min. Then another 30 min zoom with the RVP. Last interview is a sales presentation followed by a few more questions. Recruiting team is very responsive and made it a smooth process

Altogether there were 7 to 8 stages for this interview process, which included interviews with the internal recruiter, line manager, wider team, VP, and others in various forms. After a 2 or 2.5 months process, I was told over the phone verbally that I had been accepted for the role where we discussed the compensation and package involved. This was on a Friday, I was told to accept the contract by Monday, I didn't receive anything and after 1 week of waiting I called the recruiter I was in contact with no response, I was told she went on holiday. After 2.5 weeks I raised this with some senior members of their HR team this was when I was told I didn't receive the role and the excuse is given was that "I didn't have enough experience", even though we had 8 stages of interviews. I later realized they kept me on hold while interviewing others and by saying they accepted me they made sure I didn't join another company. This was a very stressful time for me as I had recently been made redundant due to covid (the reason I was interviewing) and I stopped interviewing for other places when this verbal offer was made. Overall I found the process very dishonest and unprofessional. This also wasted other roles I potentially would have got and multiple hours of my time.

1. One online coding round consisting of 3 coding questions of normal difficulty. 2. One Zoom-based round by hiring manager. For the whole Zoom interview call, the internet of the interviewer was disconnecting and the screen got frozen many times. I kept speaking the same things again and again. At last, I asked for feedback. He said the same things which he missed due to screen freezing and disconnecting internet. If you do not wish to conduct interviews for a candidate, then tell them beforehand. Do not waste their time by conducting interviews without any intent. If you are conducting a interview please use good internet. Candidates time is also precious.

Entrevista

The interview with Coupa Software was more of a pleasant discussion on project processes and my past experiences with project management. It was more of a Scrum Master position than a PM position, but nonetheless, they gave a professional impression, quite knowledgeable on agile methodologies and Scrum in particular. It was very natural and relaxed, which helped the atmosphere of the interview.
