The interview process went smooth. Applied online. Received email from recruiter the same week. Had a conversation with the recruiter the next week. Recruiter sent a pre-assessment. Received phone call from recruiter to set up a phone interview with team. Had phone interview with a manager and after 10 seconds of hiring my voice I could then determine that he was not interested. I know I sound like Barry White but at least give me a chance. The questions had nothing to do with the job description or incident response nor digital forensics. It felt more like a weeding out interview. It appears that FireEye/Mandiant aren't interested in hiring "African Americans" which is unfortunate and it appears that way via Linkedin.
