Easy process. Initial contact by HR to set up a phone screen. Phone screen went well. In person interview with three team members about 3 weeks later. Met with HR (relaxed discussion based) the team (more technical and personality based but only one STAR question) then the director of that department (down to earth, straight to the point, open discussion). Director looked at my resume and added up years of experience for HR to calculate a salary. Salary looked to be on target with what I was expecting. Hiring manager wasn't there at the initial interview; video interviewed with hiring manager one month later. Offer came in low with reason: "the best GA could do for my technical expertise." I asked for clarity on the technical gaps so I could close them for a better salary. Hiring manager did not provide an opportunity to negotiate. Sent a financial breakdown to HR as to why the offer would not work, it was not considered for increasing the offer either. Thought maybe it wasn't in the budget. Communication was fairly slow thru the entire 8 week process. Was not ideal. Overall nice people, seems like an amazing company with cool positions. No flexibility on negotiation in my experience was unattractive for considering applying again at GA in the future. It will depend on my interest as this was only one experience, it just didn't work out. No harm no foul.
