      Entrevista

      I had a phone interview with the hiring manager, and then was invited to a face-to-face interview at the plant. This consisted of a plant tour, and three panel interviews. Most of the questions were behavioral in nature. I was taken to lunch by some of the team, where I felt nearly invisible, as they conversed about their person lives, while throwing an occasional question my way, just to acknowledge my existence. I would suggest anybody interested in joining this company not show significant interest in moving up the career ladder too quickly, as I felt that was my downfall - at least within this type of position. I also felt that the company doesn't have great rapport with its front-line personnel, based on some of the questions I was asked. I also felt they prefer to work overtime rather than increase headcount. This is fine for hourly employees who like O.T. However, there is no additional compensation for salaried shift employees for mandatory OT, and based on an already low base pay, this is not a reasonable policy, in my opinion. My asking about this policy may have also hit a nerve with hiring management. I also would like to point out that I was not compensated for my driving mileage to this interview (a three hour drive each way), even though HR said I would be compensated.
