I applied for a Contract PM role with Salesforce. I was eventually interviewed for the role and offered the job. However, to my shock, the recruiter told me the actual pay for the role would be 40% below the pay listed on the job description and what I agreed to in the application. I am not exaggerating on the 40% difference in actual pay vs. what was listed in the job description. The recruiter then tried to claim the role was of a junior level and I should either take it or walk away (no negotiation or flexibility was allowed). For such a huge company like Salesforce, I expect to be treated better as a candidate and not have my time wasted.
