Ultimately, you will come up with a problem statement that is A) interesting, and B) Has not been solved before. Besides this, your continuous discussions with them should also provide possible solutions that you might want to perform during the internship. Overall, the interview itself was great!

There's no coding interview for the team based in Palo Alto. The interviews are highly focused on digging into my past research experience and my future research plans. The interviewers and hiring managers are very friendly and can really spend time knowing about me, rather than screening applicants with code interviews, which, sadly, is the common practice in FAANG.
