Candidatei-me online. Fui entrevistado pela Tableau Software (Seattle, WA) em jun. de 2017
Entrevista
1 Phone Screen with Recruiter, 1 Phone Interview with Hiring Manager and 1 Interview Loop with 4-5 Members of the Team + Demo of the Product.
I thought I had a good chance of landing this role, but noticed that each interviewer I met with did not ask me challenging role-specific questions. Rather, they asked me very personal/preference-based questions. It felt as if they had already made their decision on the preferred candidate and they just were killing time in the interview by asking questions about myself/wanted to see how I performed the demo to check that box off. It felt very dishonest, almost to fill a recruitment metric by the recruiter than anything else (I have recruitment experience so I know the metrics/quotas associated).
In contrast, I have interviewed at a number of leading technology companies and have always been challenged in the interview process and subsequently received offers because they were genuinely interested in how I would approach difficult customer scenarios.
I did not feel like the Tableau interview was honest or fair as the product demonstration required at the end of the interview loop took significant time and effort to prepare.
If they had already made up their mind about me or a preferred candidate, I wish they would have just cancel the interview loop instead of making me go through the hoops to tell me we would not be moving forward.
Also, their recruiter, while very nice, didn't offer any feedback (I knew this may be the case given what I've read here on Glassdoor).
My advice to Tableau: be honest with prospective talent. You claim to hire "the best" but how you treat interviewee's (whether those you are interested in pursing further or not) speaks volumes to your company's character. As I advance my career, I will always remember this experience.
If I should ever connect with another recruiter in the future for prospective roles, I will turn them down based on this one experience. First impressions matter, especially in sales and customer service.

Pergunta 1
Asked about what I was looking for in a company culture-wise, team environment, drive etc. Nothing challenging though, which was the first red flag.
Candidatei-me por indicação de um funcionário. O processo levou 4 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Tableau Software (Austin, TX) em jul. de 2021
Entrevista
Referred by current employee. Interview over the phone with recruiter (that had to be rescheduled because recruiter didn't show for our first meeting), phone interview with a manager, 2 video interviews with different managers, an interview with current team members, and finally a product demo with the hiring manager.
All of this to never hear back whether I received the job, even after following up with hiring manager twice.

Overall, quite a positive experience.
Stage 1: Screening interview with recruiter. Was asked simple questions about my experiences, why I'm interested in looking to apply, salary expectations, etc.
Stage 2: Interview with Customer Success Director and Customer Success Team Manager. Asked many questions on conflict management, experiences with customers, strengths and weaknesses, time management, etc.
Stage 3: Case study presentation. I was given a situation about a global customer, and asked to present on what I would do to engage all of the customers in different regions.
