I got grilled for providing a generic response to generic questions during their feedback session for me. In the feedback session with the recruiter, he said that I didn't give enough specificity in my answer. Dude, the hiring manager asked if I could handle stakeholders, and I said yes. If the HM wanted a specific instance, then they could have asked for it, and I would have happily elaborated. I was trying to match their vibe because that's how conversations work. Generic questions get generic responses. Specific questions get specific responses. Communicate better.
