The HR team was very nice and supportive throughout the process, and the regional manager I spoke with was also professional and encouraging. However, the final stage call with the dept lead at the final stage was a very disappointing experience.
She did not invite me to give a self-introduction and appeared distracted during my presentation, which I had thoroughly prepared over the week. At times, her attention seemed elsewhere, and even when a minor connection issue briefly interrupted the call (for about 10 seconds), she did not ask me to repeat myself, suggesting a lack of genuine engagement.
Additionally, there was inconsistency regarding the interview timeline. The HR team had informed me that all interviews would conclude by the end of this week, with final results shared early next week. However, at the end of the interview, the global lead mentioned that other candidates were scheduled for interviews at the beginning of next week, delaying the decision timeline. This gave the impression that an offer decision had already been made during the interview, and that the extended timeline was merely procedural to accommodate preferred candidates.
Overall, while the earlier stages were positive, the final interaction with the dept lead left a disappointing impression of the process.
