Through sustainable changes over time, we have rebuilt and reshaped our culture. Diversity is making us stronger and is guiding us to create a more equitable and inclusive environment – both within Uber and in the world we operate in – and we’re putting culture first. Meet six members of our Legal team committed to tirelessly promoting change for the greater good.
Diana Urian started her journey at Uber from the cornerstone of Uber’s Krakow Center of Excellence (COE) and never stopped. Encouraged to move around and explore new roles and teams, she transitioned from a Customer Support Representative role to leading teams.
Mariana Perez Chao, General Manager for the Central & South East Territories for Uber Eats in Mexico, has been at #Uber for over four years and has progressed through 3 different roles on Uber’s Sales team. She is also a passionate advocate for women's and equality rights, both internally at Uber and externally. “I believe that as women in positions of leadership and privilege, we have a huge responsibility to pave the way for those who come after us so that the next generation can have the equal opportunities they deserve. At Uber, we believe in lifting as we climb—and this means not only inside of Uber, but also within the communities that we serve.”
After working in consulting and tech in New York, Swedish native Natasha Bardin-Patel returned to Europe joining Uber Eats in London. Today she’s part of our UK Operations team leading the local growth of Uber One, our subscription program offering £0 Delivery Fee, promos and exclusive perks. “It’s been really interesting to navigate and build the program around what our members value most,” she shares in our latest blog.

We believe in learning by doing — and that there is no better classroom than real-world experience. We trust that you know what you’re doing and that you can learn whatever you don’t. That’s why every Uber intern is supported by both a manager and mentor. Together, they guide interns, emphasizing best practice and independence, and encouraging interns to share fresh perspectives. Whether they’re at our Aarhus, Amsterdam, or Sofia tech hubs. “Witnessing the curiosity, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn displayed by our interns is incredibly refreshing. It takes me back to my own early years and serves as a reminder of why I love my job so much,” shares Nikolay Samardzhiev, a long-time Intern Manager, below.
Pursuing a high quality of life for his family while also being able to work on dynamic and innovative projects, Muzaffar Makhkamov was drawn to Aarhus (Denmark) and the perfect opportunity to live locally while building globally on Uber’s Configuration Platform team.

Impressed by Uber’s vision, products, and people Quentin Guena joined Uber in 2018 and has since progressed through 3 roles on our Community Operations team. Today, Quentin is Head of Safety, Identity, Risk, Payment and Enablement for EMEA’s Community Operations team. “Each role has built upon the experiences and knowledge gained from the previous one, and has allowed me to expand my perspective and work with a diverse range of teams and products,” he shares in our latest blog.
6 months ago Özlem Öz moved from Istanbul to Dubai to join Uber’s Communications team. After a short break from tech, she realized just how much the industry aligns with her values and how much she missed the fast paced and innovative ecosystem: “I enjoy being part of the workspace that encourages you to think differently and go beyond, doing things with heart.” We sat down with Özlem to chat about her experience at Uber so far and what it’s like to be on our MEA Communications team.
