Purpose of the Job:
To facilitate the implementation of high-quality and scalable business processes, technologies and architectural frameworks, translating business requirements into technical architecture across IT, Core Networks, Digital and Commercial to ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise standards, are cost-effective and support long-term sustainability and performance.
Main Responsibilities:
Solution Architecture and Technical Delivery

Implement new technologies to determine their potential impact by assessing their applicability to business needs and integrating into the existing technology stack, ensuring seamless functionality

Maintain future proof solutions in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders by analysing existing and future architectures, recommending change in technology and business support procedures to enhance processes and deliver service to internal Cell C customers and external integrating partners

Provide input into the definition and development of solution architecture process by contributing towards transforming it into a capability-based architecture in support of agile work methods to ensure solution designs are scalable and align with Business Requirement Specifications

Utilise effective solution design methodologies and activities by providing input into periodic amendments of software development life cycle (SDLC) approaches to meet evolving solution designs standards
Solution Design

Implement end-to-end delivery lifecycle of technical design projects to ensure the successful integration into the various dependent systems, supporting projects in the technology space

Monitor design project progress and adjust plans as necessary by developing detailed project plans outlining each phase of the lifecycle to ensure they meet business objectives and technical requirements

Collaborate with technical teams to map out integration points and dependencies by analyzing existing systems and architectures to identify key building blocks, enabling seamless system integration and system interoperability

Analyse User Acceptance Testing (UAT) methods early in the design phase by reviewing functional specifications and testing to validate functionality, ensuring design inputs accurately reflect intended business outcomes

Create detailed Work Order Breakdowns (WBS) to guide the integration of partners and service providers by breaking down complex projects into manageable tasks to facilitate coordination and execution

Contribute to the creation and upkeep of a repository that serves as a reference for architectural standards and practices by updating solution design documents, workflows and data models to ensure consistency and efficiency
Solution Configuration and Testing

Configure solution components by clearly defining all requirements to ensure they meet business needs

Conduct thorough testing by utilizing Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) to track and validate requirements throughout the project lifecycle to ensure solutions meet the specified requirements

Identify and log issues during testing by monitoring defects and discrepancies through appropriate channels to ensure timely resolution and improve reliability of solutions
-
Collaborate with the Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) and Project Management Office (PMO) to report on project status, issues, risks and benefits, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency

Engage with Developers, Testers and Business Analysts during configuration and testing phases, facilitating Joint Architecture Designs (JAD) sessions to ensure comprehensive and collaborative solution designs that meet business needs

Maintain a reference architecture repository by utilising Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect tool for design purposes to ensure efficient use of the tool to enhance design processes
Stakeholder Engagements

Maintain open and clear communication channels with all stakeholders through regular updates and feedback to foster a collaborative environment

Align objectives with Enterprise Architects and technical bodies by engaging in knowledge-sharing activities, such as workshops or seminars to ensure cohesive efforts towards common goals, contributing to the expertise of others
Process and Operational Delivery

Provide specialist input through the investigation of opportunities for operational and process optimisation

Identify problems, diagnose symptoms, causes and possible effects in order to solve emerging problems and optimise business processes

Consolidate information to review work progress that provides input to reporting, decision making and the identification of improvement opportunities

Plan for value-added process improvements, initiatives and services to deliver on operational plan and objectives

Minimum Qualification
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (IT) or related field
Experience
-
3-5 years experience in Systems Design and Integration or related field
-
Practical knowledge and experience of Databases, SQL, PL/SQL, Web Services, Web Service Protocols and IP Network Principles

Certification in TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) and ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)
-
Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
