Phone interview was very detailed oriented. Talked for a solid hour with hiring manager. I was asked a lot of relevant questions about my background. Unfortunately had less than 5 minutes to ask questions, which I thought was unfair given that I had spoken for a solid hour.
Interviewed with hiring manager, engineering manager and several potential direct reports. Again, the hiring manager had a list of questions which took up 44 of the 45 minutes they had allowed for the interview. Other interviews were more like conversations and good interactions.
Left feeling like I had nailed the interviews and would really make a difference to the team. Was told that they were interviewing a few other candidates. I waited two weeks before making any contact with the hiring manager and HR recruiter. Finally being told that I didnt have enough domain expertise. Unfortunately I was never asked anything about the domain. More people skills and QA experience. It was very frustrating to wait and wait and then be told after contacting them that they were going in a different direction.
