I applied online for an Intern position and did specify that I was looking for an intern position in the field of HR. I received an e-mail about 2 weeks later for an interview and a few days later, I showed up at their premises in Luxembourg. I was put in a conference room and waited a whole 45 minutes. The recruiter showed up, dressed in a more than casual way (a mix of bandana biker and cow-girl)! She sat down, and headed straight to the interview, no introduction (no hello, how are you) and nothing to put me at ease in the first placed. She started questioning me in a very disinterested way and obviously wasn't prepared at all, and didn't even read my cover letter! She thought I was interviewing for an Intern position as an Auditor, yet she didn't apologize for not noticing and really stayed on the audit-path, challenging me with very specific questions in that field (which I had no answer to). It was as if she wanted to lead me into that role on purpose, since that was what she was obviously looking for: an audit intern!
