Title: Disappointing Candidate Experience Due to Lack of Communication I recently went through multiple interview rounds with Thoughtworks and, unfortunately, had a very disappointing candidate experience. After completing two interviews, I received an email congratulating me on progressing to the next stage and asking me to schedule another discussion. I subsequently had a very positive 45-minute conversation with a senior technical leader who has been with the company for more than two decades. The discussion was engaging, and at the conclusion of the meeting, I was informed that I should expect an invitation for the next round (Leadership and Cultural Fit) shortly. After waiting a couple of days without receiving any update, I reached out to the interview coordinator for clarification. When I did not receive a response, I sent a follow-up email. After several more days with no communication, I contacted the recruiter who had conducted my initial screening. Unfortunately, I did not receive a response from them either. A few days later, I unexpectedly received an automated rejection email from the Workday system stating that my application would not be progressing further. While I fully understand that companies may decide not to move forward with a candidate, the lack of communication and follow-up after multiple interview rounds was disappointing—especially after being told that I would be advancing to the next stage. A brief update, clarification, or courtesy response would have significantly improved the overall candidate experience.
