“I’m looking forward to bragging about my job and how cool it is,” says Sportscar Design & Development Engineer Nicole Stout about the upcoming Society of Women Engineers conference in Houston. Nicole and her teammates develop and evaluate Goodyear tires to help amateur sportscar racers win on the track. This Friday she’s presenting “Breaking Tradition, One Lap at a Time” at #WE22 to share lessons learned from her experience as a woman in motorsports. “During my job interview years ago, I heard that Goodyear highly promotes internal mobility and supports associates who would like to explore different functions,” said Ruth, Global Intercompany Accounting Manager. “I was able to move to other roles within the audit team, and then two years ago I began my role within the finance service delivery function.”
Fifty-three years ago today, we supplied essential products for NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Apollo program, including the Apollo 11 mission which landed on the moon. It is with pride and excitement that we announce that the tradition will continue with Lockheed Martin and others as we work together to develop lunar vehicle tires for a lunar mobility vehicle as part of NASA’s Artemis program.
Every year, we detail our accomplishments, goals and progress toward these goals in our Corporate Responsibility Report, which is available now. We invite you to read more about Goodyear Better Future, an integral part of our business strategy and our sustainability journey.
A first of its kind facility for Goodyear opened recently in Dudelange, Luxembourg and features a new process focused on small-batch production of high performance tires, enabling Goodyear to produce tires four times faster than the standard production cycle. The new process, developed by Goodyear engineers, produces tires four times faster than a standard production cycle by using a version of 3-D printing for the tire industry. It also drives efficiencies during the industrialization process of new products that will later go into mass production, thanks to the fully automated and high precision nature of the manufacturing process. Congratulations to every member of #TeamGoodyear who has made this new process and facility possible.

We are proud to announce a collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defense, the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) and BioMADE to work with Ohio-based Farmed Materials to develop a domestic source of natural rubber from TK dandelions. As global demand for natural rubber continues to grow, this is a crucial step in developing an alternative source of natural rubber, which may help mitigate future supply chain challenges.
