RED FLAGGED are an organisation that aims to create a community for those that believe in the empowerment of Queer and East + Southeast Asian voices. We helped them create a space for connection and conversation with a feast full of our finest food and drink, before they went to Black Pride (the world's largest free pride event for LGBTQIA+ Black and POC). Some of their friends and family guests included some of the most influential Asian creatives in London such as A Sai Ta (Founder & Creative Director of fashion brand 'Asai Takeaway'), Sinon Loresca (viral TikTok star with over 3M+ followers), Jason Kwan (musician and key member of cabaret collective 'Bitten Peach') and many more. Once every year across the UK & Ireland, our Nandocas invite their friends and families to the park for our Family Day. Family Day is not only a great way to celebrate one of our core values of ‘Family’, it also helps to create memorable experiences for our Nandocas and their loved ones by coming together, playing games, eating food (can’t have a Nando’s event without some PERi-PERi, right?) and seeing Zulu dancers who joined us this year. Have a look at how our Central Support Family Day went down here 👇
No Chuckin' Our Chicken now includes grocery products. From our PERi-PERi rubs and Flavour Shakers, to our Bag & Bakes, Marinades and Sauces, our surplus grocery items are being redistributed through our network of charities and community organisations, adding PERi-PERi flavour wherever they go! The first batch went to City Harvest. “We’re so grateful for the support that Nando’s provides City Harvest on a daily basis. We feed over 120,000 people a week and whilst the chicken has always been such a fantastic product to be able to give to our recipients for its quality and high protein content, the addition of receiving sauces, rubs and marinades means we can provide our community kitchens with an opportunity to create, cook and enjoy delicious, nutritious recipes” - Mary Parsons, Head of Food at City Harvest London
Firing up the grills, and the Olympic torch 🔥 Last month, thanks to our friends at Coca-Cola, we had the chance to send one Nandoca out to Paris to see the final stages of the Olympic Torch Relay. That lucky Nandoca was Salas, Assistant Manager in our Canary Wharf Jubilee Place restaurant, in recognition of his incredible charitable efforts. Salas’ inspirational work started during lockdown, hosting online workout sessions which gathered fame across the world, which led him to create his own charity, Workout to Help, and has also published his own book too. Keep up with Salas and his amazing work on his Insta >> https://www.instagram.com/workout_to_help/
PERi-PERi Chicken isn't the only legendary thing about Nando's... The Afro Luso music we play loudly and proudly reflects our heritage with music styles from across Southern Africa. We invited South African musician, Muzi, to explore the trail back to Mozambique, the home of PERi-PERi and learn where just a few of our beats come from...
The sunniest place in England just got a bit hotter ☀️ welcome to Nando’s Bognor Regis 😍 The new restaurant celebrates our Southern African roots all the way through, from woven light fittings and fabrics to wall textures and, of course, the artwork. Dan, the Patrao (General Manager) started with us as an Assistant Manager in 2010 at 18 years old in London, before making the move to the south coast and now leads a team of more than 35 fired-up Nandocas. Some of these roles were recruited through the WorkAid scheme at The Aldingbourne Trust which supports adults with learning disabilities or autism through education, training, specialist care and employment. You can find out more about the amazing work they do on their website here >> https://www.aldingbournetrust.org/ The team have also partnered with UK Harvest - a leading environmental and social impact charity dedicated to preventing food waste and food insecurity. They’ll be donating food to UK Harvest as part of our ‘No Chuckin’ Our Chicken’ initiative.

We're passionate about supporting new and exciting creative talent. Our music roots run deep, and we recently collaborated with Hype & Genius – an award-winning social enterprise, dedicated to empowering creatives and dismantling exploitation in the industry to put together an event at our event space in London. Joss, our Music Studio Manager told us more: “It's always great to support new and exciting creative talent and working with Hype & Genius was the perfect opportunity to do this! We worked with Lylo and Korinna, the duo behind Hype & Genius and their youth volunteer team to curate, set-up and run a music showcase featuring 5 exceptional artists at our secret kitchen space. Over 200 artists applied to the sold-out showcase to perform 3 of their own tracks on the night.”
