From restaurant floor to dancefloor. Earlier this month we threw a party with Piano People at our Clink Street restaurant in London to celebrate the launch of Mix It Up Vol. 3 our third EP. Grammy-nominated producer, singer and songwriter Musa Keys was on the decks, and international artists A$AP NAST and Unknown T pulled up to party too. Recorded and produced between Nando’s sponsored Flame Studios on Constitution Hill in Johannesburg and Nando’s Soho recording studio in London, Mix It Up Vol.3 EP embodies Nando’s brand belief that ‘Life’s Better When You Mix It Up’. Imfundo – the Zulu word for education. Recently, our L&D Team embraced the spirit of Imfundo by hosting a learning week at our Central Support office. It was packed with guest speakers, interactive workshops, storytelling sessions with our Leadership Team, showcases from different Central Support functions, webinars, and even some exercise activities. It was all about connecting with each other, while picking up some new skills and knowledge along the way. We stayed curious, made time for personal growth, and had a blast reflecting on what’s next for each of us. Check out how our showcase event went in this vid.
School trip to Nando’s? Makes a change from the museum… Lauren, Assistant Manager from our Coleraine restaurant recently invited a class from their local school along to the restaurant for a Build-a-Burger morning, and she told us how it went: “It was amazing, the kids had an absolutely amazing time and they were still wearing their hair nets when leaving the school! The teachers were so pleased and said it was such a great idea and something different for them to do compared to other trips they go on. We also spent time talking about the Southern African farmers we grow our chillies. They went hard on their sauce bottle design competition too, and we saw some incredible ideas coming out! We also made some PERi-PERi sauce with them to show the ingredients and the winner of the design competition got to take that home ☺️”

Last month, some of our Nandocas served up a feast for South London rapper and songwriter K-Trap, while giving 100 of his fans an exclusive listen to his brand-new album SMILE at our very own Putney Kitchen. The artist performed to the intimate crowd who were also treated to a bespoke K-Trap menu, packed full of PERi-PERi of course.

We’re really proud of the lives we change through our art and wanted to celebrate it, so we hosted a one-of-a-kind exhibition in Dallas at the African American Museum. Showcasing 60 artists and 90 pieces from our collection, six South African artists travelled to Dallas to share the distinct flavours of their art with over 52,000 visitors seeing them.
