Electronic / Embedded Systems Engineer
Hoggan Scientific is seeking a talented and dedicated Electronic/ Embedded System Engineer with experience in designing electronic circuits, programing and troubleshooting electronics. This position will be full-time at a location in SLC. Hoggan Scientific LLC designs and manufactures ergonomics and medical products. We are looking for an engineer with a broad range of skills from PCB Layout, using CAD Software, to troubleshooting problems both on cite and over the phone with customers. We are looking for an engineer that is interested in owning products throughout the product lifecycle. Consequently, the position will demand involvement with all stages of our products lifecycle, especially supporting manufacturing, troubleshooting, repairing customer devices, maintaining designs, and documentation. We are a small company and will only have one engineer on our staff, so we need an engineer who is willing to take on anything, even if it is something they've never done before. Responsibilities:
· Support the design and evolution of products, including both electronic and mechanical aspects
· Maintain and develop embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems
· Maintain and improve existing PCB designs
· Modify and maintain existing Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) firmware
· Support desktop software tools when needed
· Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate returned devices
· Support customers with technical troubleshooting
· Support manufacturing and resolve production-related issues
Preferred Skills / Experience:
· Embedded firmware development in C/C++
· Experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems
· PCB design experience using KiCad
· Experience with BLE devices or Nordic Semiconductor products is a plus
· CAD experience with SolidWorks
· Experience debugging electronic systems and hardware
· Familiarity with SMT assembly and manufacturing processes
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical tasks
Requirements:
· Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
· Proven experience in electronics design and embedded systems development

Pay: $60,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
