I was contacted by multiple in-house recruiters. The job descriptions seemed fuzzy and I was worried about reviews here and comments from others who have worked there that it's over-bureaucratized and one of the worse companies in the valley for Software Engineering. I figured, "Why not" and submitted an application. A few days later, a phone interview was scheduled with a manager and developer in Connecticut. This baffled me. The claim was that they were taking the load off the people in Murray, Utah. I found that to be patently absurd, but went along. The project was explained to, but the people in Connecticut knew next to nothing about it, so they couldn't answer most of my questions. The programming questions were all software and philosophical questions, like what is object oriented programming? Days later, a live interview was scheduled. Unfortunately, I had a brain freeze and confused the time of the interview and arrived late. The person who greeted me was extremely rude and condescending and refused to accept my apology. Honestly, that told me everything I needed to know about the company. I suppose it told them what they needed to know as well. They want drones and I'm not a drone.
