MVP ships in H2 2026. This is not a research project. This is a real product, on a real timeline, with real customers waiting. If we succeed, we will become the default solution for securing business in Italy and a reference point for AI-native security operations in Europe. This is a game-changing goal.
We don't care who you have been, only who you want to become. We are not looking for "Figma operators" who polish mockups in isolation; we are looking for a Founding Design Engineer with the ambition to define how a multi-billion-dollar category will look and feel — and the hunger to ship it themselves.
You Are Founding, Not Joining: There is no design system to maintain. No legacy patterns to inherit. No design team to slot into. You build all of it. Your decisions in the first 6 months will shape this product for the next 5 years.
You Design What Doesn't Exist Yet: Designing for AI agents in a SOC context is one of the hardest UX problems in the industry today. How do you communicate agent confidence? When should the human override? How do you make explainability fast? How do you keep an analyst in the loop without slowing them down? You will answer these questions, not Google them.
Modern Stack Obsessed: Figma, design tokens, React, TypeScript, Tailwind, Storybook. You ship to production. You write code that runs alongside what our DevSecOps team writes. You don't pass specs over a wall — you commit to the same repo.
You will be the architect of how thousands of SOC analysts, MDR clients, and CISOs experience the Agentic SOC. Your craft determines whether an AI-suggested response is trusted in 3 seconds or ignored for 3 weeks.
Co-Report to Two Worlds: You report directly to our CEO and, in parallel, to the senior engineering lead from our Tier-1 hyperscaler partner who is co-driving the technical development. Few design roles in Europe give you this dual exposure: startup velocity on one shoulder, hyperscaler engineering rigor on the other. Both will push you. You will grow faster here than anywhere else.
Ship the MVP, Then Define the Category: First mission, first 6 months: get the MVP to the finish line in H2 2026. Information architecture, interaction patterns, agent-human dialog primitives, alert taxonomy, response workflows. Every primitive you create will be used thousands of times a day from day one.
Build the Design System: Tokens, components, accessibility (WCAG 2.2), dark-mode-first (analysts work at night). You build it in Figma and in code. It is your child.
Ship in Production: Pair with the DevSecOps team. Open PRs. Implement the components you designed. Care about bundle size, performance, keyboard navigation, screen-reader behavior. The bar is "indistinguishable from the engineering team's output."
Define Agentic UX Patterns: Trust calibration. Confidence indicators. Override flows. Audit trails. Reasoning transparency. You will publish, internally and externally (yes, blog posts, conferences), what we learn. You become a recognized voice in agentic security UX.
Talk to Users: Every week. SOC analysts at 3am. CISOs in a board meeting. SMB owners who don't know what an EDR is. Insights prototypes production. Tight loop.
You have the ambition and the mindset to reject the status quo of ugly, confusing enterprise security software.
Hunger and Range: Seniority is open — what we care about is range and ownership. You might be a brilliant 4-year designer ready for the founding leap, or a 10-year design veteran who wants one more meaningful zero-to-one. Either works. What does not work is "I want to maintain a design system someone else built."
Hybrid Profile (Design + Code): You design in Figma and you ship in React/TypeScript. Not "I can read code" — you write it, you commit it, you review it. If you've used tools like v0, Cursor, or Loveable to prototype in production-grade code, even better.
AI-Native, Not AI-Curious: You have shipped at least one product with non-trivial LLM/agent UX. You can talk fluently about streaming UI, tool-use feedback, hallucination handling, context window UX, human-in-the-loop patterns. If you've worked on copilots, agents, or AI-assisted workflows in B2B SaaS, you're our target.
Security-Aware (or Insatiably Curious): You don't need to be a SOC analyst, but you must be willing to learn the domain deeply. MITRE ATT&CK, EDR/SIEM/SOAR, incident response, threat hunting — these will become your daily vocabulary. If you already know them, even better.
Want to Make History: We are in a phase of building and conquering. This is not a "redesign-the-button-radius-for-six-months" job. It is a constant battle to define a category before it gets defined for us.

Compensation: Total target compensation 52K–68K, structured as:
Base salary 35K–45K cash
Performance bonus 50% of base salary target, tied to product adoption milestones and revenue from products you helped ship
What you build is what we sell. We tie a meaningful slice of your comp to that reality — without pretending design is a sales job.
Cash-or-Equity Flex: Your annual performance bonus can be converted — at your election — into company equity at the prevailing valuation. Bet on yourself, bet on us, or do both.
Remote-First (Italy / Malta): Work from anywhere in Italy or Malta. Quarterly team gatherings in Milan (Via Durini) for deep collaboration with leadership and the DevSecOps team. We invest in your home setup.
Dual Mentorship Few Founders Get: Co-reporting line to our CEO and to a senior engineer from our Tier-1 hyperscaler partner. You sit at the table where startup speed meets Big Tech engineering culture. This is not a perk — it's a multiplier on your career.
Strategic Stage, Defined Milestone: MVP launches H2 2026. You will see your work in production within 6 months of joining. No vapor, no perpetual pre-launch.
Accelerated Vertical Growth: You will own a category-defining product surface. Speak at conferences. Publish research. Build a public portfolio of work that almost no one else in Europe gets to do. Here, the learning curve is a straight line upwards.

Phase 1: Screening Call (30 minutes) with the founding team.
Phase 2: Focused Design Exercise (2–3 hours async + 45-minute walkthrough) — A real, time-boxed problem from our Agentic SOC roadmap. Deliverable: a Figma prototype + reasoning. We respect your time, and we value depth over breadth.
Phase 3: Technical Pairing with the DevSecOps team (90 minutes) — We sit together, we design something, we code something. We see how you think out loud.
Phase 4: Cultural & Strategic Fit with the CEO (45 minutes).
