Position Overview:
Our client is a national residential design and engineering company supporting home builders and house‑plan platforms across the United States. We operate as a fully remote, process‑driven team focused on producing consistent, high‑quality construction documents at scale.
We are seeking an Entry‑ to Mid‑Level Structural Drafter to support our engineering team in the production of residential architectural and structural plans. This role works closely with engineers and project coordinators to ensure accurate, efficient, and code‑compliantdrawing sets.
Primary Responsibilities:

Develop new and/or modify existing single family residential plans

Prepare structural drafting deliverables based on engineer layouts and markups

Draft wood‑framed residential structural plans including foundations, framing, sections,
and details

Update and revise drawings per engineering review comments

Maintain drawing consistency using PLIRIS templates and standards

Coordinate with project teams to meet production schedules
Secondary Responsibilities

Assist with detail library updates and template improvements

Support production efficiency and quality‑control initiatives

Participate in daily team check‑ins and task coordination
Qualifications:
-
Certificate, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, CAD, or a related field (or
equivalent experience)

0–5 years of residential drafting experience

Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience is a plus)

Understanding of residential structural systems and construction documents
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standards

- During the first 1–3 months: Mon-Fri 2:00 AM–11:00 AM PST (full PST overlap)

After ramp-up: Mon-Fri 00:00 AM–9:00 AM PST (2-hour overlap with the PST team)
