What are your main tasks?

• Analysing and evaluating procurement markets for the purchasing area concerneCarry out group-wide, international requirement analysis
• Bundling requirements and carrying out tenders
• Carrying out enquiries, quotation comparisons, evaluations and QAF analysis for series and future series material of the category, considering price, quality, delivery performance and technology
• Negotiating contracts with suppliers
• Preparation of elaborations for decision-making for the award of contracts in various internal committees (e.g.International Sourcing Table, project team)
• Coordination with all departments involved, e.g. project purchasing, category management, development, controlling, legal department, accounting, logistics
• Carry out process and value analysis with the selected suppliers
• Participation in make-or-buy decisions
• Cooperation in supplier evaluations
• Leading or participating in escalation talks

What are your qualifications?

• Completed university degree (commercial or technical) or completed vocational training with relevant further training (e.g. technician or business economist)
• Several years of professional experience in the field of purchasing and/or SCM
• Fluency in English (German are an advantage)
• Very good knowledge of MS Office and SAP is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills and pleasure in negotiating
• Strong cost awareness and an analytical approach
• Assertiveness
• Goal-oriented, experienced and independent way of working
• Readiness to travel
• Ability to work in a team with colleagues and superiors
